Distinguished Scientist Life Time Achievement Awards to Dr. K.S. Rao.
He did his Ph.D. in Toxicology and Nutrition, At National Institute of Nutrition in 1967. He completed his MVSC in 1963 with a gold medal. He has more than 40 years of experience in different disciplines of toxicology. He has worked more than 25 years in the United States and presently He is the Senior Director and Head of Toxicology Division, Advinus Therapeutics Private limited , Bangalore from 2006 onwards.
Dr. Rao received the Diplomate of American Board of Toxicology (DABT), in 1980, He is a Member of Society of Toxicology (U.S.), he served as the Secretary Treasurer of Michigan Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology, President of Michigan Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology and presently the President of the Society of Toxicology of India. He is the Editor-In-Chief of Toxicology International Journal. Dr. Rao served as the Chairman of the International Regulatory Committee of the American Crop Protection Association, Washington D.C., Recipient of the 1999 Ambassador Speaker of the year award from the American Crop Protection Association, USA, appointed as the Scientific Advisory Committee(SAC) of National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Hyderabad and Executive Editor of the Indian Journal of Environment and Toxicology. He has more than Sixty Six research publications in his credit.

Dr. TP. Suresh, former Head of Toxicology and General Manager Regulatory affairs of Rallis Research Center, Peenya, Bangalore. Dr. Suresh has BVSC, MVSc, Diploma In Physiology & Bio-chemistry from Denmark and Ph.D in Animal Physiology. Dr. Suresh has more than 40 years of experience in different disciples of toxicology, especially in teaching of Regulatory toxicology/Good Laboratory practice and Laboratory Animal Welfare. His specialization is in Toxicological and Safety Evaluation of Agro-chemicals, pesticides and Pharmaceutical products. He is one of the most popular toxicologists in the country. He has served as a Member/ expert consultant for more than 20 scientific/professional bodies.
Dr. Suresh, single handedly designed and established 12000 Sq Meter, 100 animal room toxicology laboratories and associated laboratories including the facility for breeding of 400 beagle dogs and small farm animals and studies on aquatic species. This is one of the largest and well reputed regulatory data generation labs in the world. He has solely responsible for implementing and obtaining GLP certification from Germany and from The Netherlands for Rallis Research Center at Peenya, Bangalore & was also responsible for AAALAC (USA) accreditation. Dr. Suresh has conducted more than 1000 regulatory toxicological studies as per OECD/EPA/FDA and other international guidelines covering the entire range of safety evaluations including Aquatic toxicology and Genotoxicity studies. He is the Fellow of Society of Toxicology (India). Published over 40 scientific papers in national and international journals. Dr. Suresh presently working as an expert consultant in toxicological studies, GLP and as a monitoring scientist for regulatory studies of many leading pharmaceutical companies from India and overseas.

Dr. Pant has developed an In Vitro Toxicology laboratory at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research Centre (formerly known as Industrial Toxicology Research Centre), Lucknow. In more than eighteen years of research career, Dr. Pant has made dedicated and sustained efforts to develop and validate newer and more sensitive alternate in vitro model systems to understand the target specific mechanisms involved in chemical/drug induced toxicity and metabolism
Dr. Pant has developed an In Vitro Toxicology laboratory at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research Centre (formerly known as Industrial Toxicology Research Centre), Lucknow. In more than eighteen years of research career, Dr. Pant has made dedicated and sustained efforts to develop and validate newer and more sensitive alternate in vitro model systems to understand the target specific mechanisms involved in chemical/drug induced toxicity and metabolism. His current research is mainly focused towards the development and validation of in vitro models and having number of research grants from ICMR, CSIR, DBT, CSTUP. He has more than fifty research publication in national and international journals. Dr. Pant has been elected member of many national academic bodies mainly National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Medical Sciences, Fellow of Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare etc. Dr. Pant is a Member of Advisory Board of Research & Executive Council of National Centre for Stem Cell Technology and Research (India); Biosafety Committee of Aligarh Muslim University and many more other positions.

Dr. John is an enthusiastic, committed teacher and a researcher. He has a Masters Degree and Ph.D in Zoology, an LLB degree from Rajasthan University and Masters Degree in Psychology from Annamali University, Tamil Nadu. He was a recipient of JRF and SRF from UGC and RA from ICMR.

Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor of Zoology in the Centre for Advanced Studies, Department of Zoology, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Dr. John has 21 years of research experience and 12 years of teaching experience. His research interests are in the field of Environmental Biotechnology, Bioremediation and Microbiology. He has 36 publications in various national and international journals and proceedings. He has attended and presented papers in more than 30 national and international symposia’s. Dr. John received the award of the Fellow of the Year 1999 (FAEB) from the Academy of Environmental Biology and DAAD fellowships-2005 from Germany. Dr. John authored a book entitled “Practical’s in Microbiology and Biotechnology” for graduates and post graduates students.
